As the founder of Erock Tax and Financial Planning, Stu brings over 30 years of experience in public accounting. He works closely with small business entrepreneurs and their families on tax and financial planning strategies to best position their financial future. As a skilled generalist, Stu provides a range of both basic and sophisticated tax management and financial planning services paired with a depth of business planning expertise to offer his clients creative problem-solving strategies.

Stu brings an unparalleled level of commitment to help clients navigate their short, medium, and long-term goals by empowering them through education about their particular tax and financial situation.

Stu received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from Union College in 1988 and graduated from Suffolk University’s Executive MBA program in 1991 and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Massachusetts (License #23037).

As an active member of the community, Stu serves on the Finance Committee for Anna Jaques Hospital, is a member of the Greater Newburyport Chamber of Commerce, and has served on the Finance Committees for both the River Valley Charter School and the Congregation Ahavas Achim. He finds great reward in giving back to the community in which he works, lives and raises his kids. Stu also has participated as a coach for the Newburyport Youth Lacrosse girls lacrosse program.

Stu lives in Newburyport, Massachusetts with his wife, Kristine, and their children. You may also find him behind a silent drum kit in his office on Water Street in between client meetings.
