Erock Tax is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to partner with our growing team in a contract role. We are a full-service tax preparation, strategy, and advocacy firm offering comprehensive tax planning services to diverse clients in a variety of industries ranging from small businesses entrepreneurs to individuals and generational families along the North Shore of Boston and beyond.

In your role as a Tax Manager, you will manage client relationships and implement tax preparation and planning strategies using the latest tax software to help guide clients through various facets of their personal and business finances. Experience in small business, corporate, and partnership taxation is desired.
Job Description:
- Lead individual and corporate tax engagements, including tax returns and financial reviews within filing deadlines and client expectations.
- Review quarterly tax estimates, extensions, tax returns and year-end planning opportunities.
- Develop and maintain a client base and proactively gather necessary information to file returns, identify and resolve tax issues, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Explore and facilitate new business opportunities to enhance partnerships and market awareness.
- Leverage technology to generate comprehensive financial reports for clients and to streamline communication and scheduling.
Qualifications:
- Reputable, trustworthy, and high ethical standards
- Strong work ethic, self-motivated, goal oriented
- Minimum of 5 years of income tax preparation experience
- Strong listening and communication skills; committed to personal growth
- Committed to high-level client services with a passion for helping others become educated about their money situation
- Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently
- Driven to build and expand personal network to cultivate relationships
- Strong knowledge of Excel, Word, and Quick Books
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university
